Sarse ilisa( Mustard Hilsa ):-Sarse ilisa( Mustard Hilsa ) is a popular Bengali food . Which is made with hilsa . Hilsa fish curry cooked with mustard paste is called mustard hilsa .People in Bangladesh and West Bengal have a strong desire to eat mustard hilsa .
Preparation:- Fish cut into pieces is washed . Mustard paste and turmeric are mixed on the fish .Then it is fried in mustard oil with salt .
Materials :-
- Hilsa fish pieces - 8/9 pieces
- Mustard paste - 3 tablespoons
- Onion flake - 1 cup
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - half a teaspoon
- Whole green chillies - 6/7
- Oil - Quantitatively
- Salt - Quantitatively
- Red-green pepper - 7 pieces (for garnish)
- First clean and wash the pieces of hilsa
- Now put turmeric and salt on the pieces and put them in a container
- Put another pot in the oven. Now let the oil heat up
- Fry onion in hot oil
- When it is fried, add mustard paste and all the other ingredients except green chillies and mix properly
- Now put the fish pieces with the mosquitoes in the pot
- Now pour the amount of water on the fish and spices And turn the fish pieces upside down
- Now add mustard paste and green chilies
- Then ,cover with a little water
- When the water is dry, take it down
Serve:- Serve garnished with whole red green chillies, with hot white rice
